На просьбу выложить сборник Франца Бартча "Wind trägt alle Worte fort" Tramboy06 предложил этот альбом группы 4PS - диск, по его мнению, более интересный, чем упомянутый сборник. Он же написал краткую биографию 4PS.
Danke schön, André!
Johannes 'Hansi' Biebl founded his first band, the Hansi Biebl Blues Band, in 1974. The band existed only one year, because after Eberhard Klunker and Olaf Wegener had fled from East Germany, the band could not play. "Lost" recordings from this period of GDR radio broadcasting were found and are available on CD now.
In 1976 Hansi Biebl went to Veronika Fischer & Band. In 1977, singer Veronika Fischer separated from her musicians. Franz Bartzsch and Frank Hille founded, together with Hansi Biebl and Michael Kaszubowski, a new band called 4PS (http://www.ostbeat.de/VierPS.htm). The music of 4PS benefited from the experiences of their creators, Hansi Biebl and Franz Bartzsch.
A year later (1977) Hansi Biebl left the group to pursue his own projects and the band played some time as a trio. Later Kaszubowski left the band and was replaced by Hans-Jürgen Reznicek, Jürgen Ehle (guitar) was added, and 4PS began to play again as a quartet.
This line-up again worked as a backup band for Veronika Fischer. After Bartzsch (1980) and Veronika Fischer (1981) left the band, free position in 4PS was occupied by Rainer Kirchmann (keyboards) and André Herzberg (from Gauckler Rock Band) came as a new singer.
The same year 4PS members Jürgen Ehle, Hans-Jürgen Reznicek and Frank Hille, formed the group Pankow. The rest is history.
