Review
The music of this album features some of the best harmonly vocals since Queens A Night At the Opera, actually the whole album is a tribute to that kind of sound. Lion Music's version will contain 4 more songs than the Japanese release and is also fully remastered.
It's all about the song,the melody and foremost the feeling they are performed with so when it comes to bombastic pompous rock-many bands and artists seem to fail on one point or the other.
Either they have a good song but it's performed very weak or the band are superprofessional musicians but have no good songs,that's why I'm proud to welcome you to 1 hour of a complete adventure in progressive AOR/rock land with the Majesty himself VALENSIA!
With this new album that will be out in Japan in the mid-Dec,Keyboard maestro Aldous Clarkson (aka Valensia) has made his first real ROCK album filled with loud guitars,huge sounding rhythm section,mighty keyb and
vocal harmonies heard from the rain forest of the Amazon all the way to the mountains of Tibet.
He mixes his Queen influences in a delicate way with his own way of performing the songs as always with Valensia and to give this Metal Majesty album the perfect touch,a potion AOR takes this masterpiece up to the heights where QUEEN's classical albums from the 70's rule.
He flirts with Bohemian Rhapsody on the track Symphony in V Minor (only available on the European release) but we who knows Valensia's previous works can only see the love in it from his side,and do you miss how bombastic the AOR genre sounded in the 80's?...well,on this album you have Everytime it rains again that will satisfy your needs for another decade,it's unbelievably good.
The mid part of the song Grim Reaper takes you on a flight over the Mighty plains of Pampas,Hail to the Ceasar of Rock......
The Moon is another fantastic bombastic AOR song that's only featured on the European version as well as the Vanhalen flirting Rock nor roll which unfortunately is the weakest track on the album,it reminds too much of the VH song Unchained and a whole lotta David Lee Roth harmonies.
